Ok, I realize it has been more than two months since I commented on how long I’d been taking between posts, but in my defense, I have been keeping rather busy. I know that’s a poor excuse, but that’s all I have.
Over the next 48 hours or so, I will be making a whole mess of posts covering everything I have shot in the last two months. These galleries are a bit of a departure from the whole paintball 24/7 thing, with more airshows, more events, and some beautiful women… Stay tuned!

I realize it has been a while since I updated the blog. We’ve been deep in the clutches of winter and I haven’t been shooting as much as I’d like. Fortunately, winter is (almost) over, and the photos should start flowing soon.
NCPA Nationals are coming up, and once again I will make the trip to Lakeland, FL to cover the event. This time I will be shooting for Paintball Sports and Paintball X3, as well as for the NCPA itself.
This summer should be pretty busy, a combination of airshows, paintball, and other events will give me plenty to do, so keep an eye out for more fantastic photos.

Got to play around with my new remote shutter release, and took advantage of the fact that I was down in Southern Minnesota to try some star photography. Both exposures were roughly 15 minutes (I think).
Notice the track left by an airplane headed towards MSP International.

Also messed around a little with some off camera lighting, here is a self-portrait for all you viewers at home.

Photos for the players who participated in the clinic. Looks like everyone was having a great time, and from what I hear they learned a lot. Big thanks to Greg and the boys from Vicious.

Over the next week or so I will be making some organizational changes to the website. The main change will be to transition from pbpancho.com to matthollandphotography.com as my main site. There will also be a brand new main page at www.matthollandphotography.com, and the blog has already been moved to blog.matthollandphotography.com. Galleries will still be posted through SmugMug.
Hopefully the transition goes smoothly!

Looks like someone hacked the site and put up their own message for a couple of hours. Luckily all is now fixed, so please resume your regularly scheduled programming.

Busy week this week. Shot the Sibley High School Boy’s Swimming and Diving meet on Thursday, and the MWPPA 3-man on Saturday. Check out both galleries through the banners below.

I won’t reiterate what has been said a million times in PBNation and a million other blogs. Pacific Paintball has filed for Chapter 7 and both PB2X and the NPPL have ceased to exist in their current form. This is bad news following on the demise of PGi, and Splat Magazine’s move from print to the web. As it stands, the only print mags that cover the (only half as big) national tournament scene are Paintball Sports and Facefull (and maybe APG, but I haven’t seen one in ages). This means there is even less to go around for all the photographers and writers that work on these mags. Add in the demise of the NPPL and rumors of the PSP moving to a four event season, and you get a pretty grim picture. Here’s hoping someone picks up where these mags left off!
On a personal note, I want to thank John and the staff at PB2X, it was a pleasure working with them over the past couple years!

I took more than 1500 photos today at the 4-man, and they will get sorted and uploaded tomorrow morning. The upload will take a couple hours, but I hope to have them all online by Sunday evening!
